Here are a list of some Frequently Asked Questions which we hope can help you to get the answers you are looking for. What does Recruit NZ do? For job seekers Recruit NZ has a variety of services available ranging from creating your CV to securing you a new role. We also have a business partnership with a wonderful Consultancy that can assist in career guidance. Does it cost anything to work with you? For recruitment there is no charge, however there are fees charged for the Consulting services as well as the CV services. Please see our list of Current Vacancies, CV Design and Creation and Candidate Coaching for more information.
How do I register with you? It’s simple! Got to contact us page and fill out the form, and we will be in contact to acknowledge the receipt of your email.
How do I apply for a role? If your experience and skills match what is required for the particular role we are advertising you need to contact us. We will then ask you to send us your CV and a covering letter outlining which role you are applying for. From there we will discuss with you further your suitability for that role. If you wanted to find out more information about a role before applying then feel free to give us a call!
Can I come in anytime for an interview? Because of the number of applicants applying for roles we do not accept drop in applicants unfortunately. You must organise a time with a Consultant for an interview.
What industries do you recruit in? We are a Generalist Employment Consultancy, meaning we recruit across all industries. Please contact us if you have a question.
Do you only recruit Permanent roles? No, we will recruit permanent, temp staff, and contract roles.
I have not got a CV, what should I do? Every applicant that comes through to us when applying for a role must have a CV in order for us to assist you. If you do not have a CV we can create one for you for a fee, however we will need to interview you first. This will assist us in accurately reflecting your skills and experience on your CV. Once I have registered with you, will you send my CV out to everyone? No way!!!! We will not send your CV out to every role we have listed. If you apply for a specific role we will assess your CV, interview you if we think you may be suitable for the role, and from there we tell you about our client, and ask you if you would like your CV sent through to them. We refuse to CV flick!
Why should I work with an Employment Agency when I could do it all myself? This is a good question. Because this is our job and we do it all day every day, we are familiar with all of the market place updates in regards to salaries, training, industry information, and statistics. We also are able to manage the process for you to ensure you are protected as a job seeker and we are there to provide advice and support to you throughout the process. We can also negotiate salaries and contracts for you on your behalf. Finally we are knowledgeable of all the Employment Regulations which a lot of job seekers are not familiar with.
