What to Expect from your Consultant

Apply for the advertised role via email or over the phone
 Undergo telephone screening with a Consultant
 If deemed suitable for the vacancy after telephone screening receive an email outlining interview confirmation with the following forms attached:
- Job Application form
- Candidate Authorisation form
- What to expect from your Consultant
- Complete forms and return to Consultant as soon as possible
before meeting them for an interview
 Meet with Consultant for the one on one interview. Here we will discuss:
- Your CV and Application Form in greater detail
- Job Description
- Client Overview
- What you can expect from your Consultant going forward
- Any questions and answers
 Consultant creates a Candidate Analysis to send through to the Client. Consultant sends through Candidate’s CV and Analysis via email and calls to follow up on any questions as well as organise interviews
 Candidate is contacted with all of the interview information required such as time, name of person, what you are required to take along, etc. Candidate is to contact the Consultant after the interview to give their feedback (text/phone)
 Consultant then contacts the Client to give feedback from Candidate and gain Client’s feedback. The Candidate’s feedback is provided to the Client

Consultant to organise 2nd interview if applicable/ Answer any additional questions
 Consultant will now organise any additional testing if required by the Client such as psychometric, drug and alcohol, criminal, database, credit, etc. If reference checking is required at this stage the Candidate is contacted firstly, and advised to inform referees of the Consultant calling them
 Reference Checking is conducted (verbatim) and is sent to the Client. It is the Client’s decision regarding appointment upon completion of reference checking. Please note a minimum of 2 verbal references are always conducted by Recruit NZ.
 Consultant to assist with the offer if required, confirm a start date, employment agreement, and any other requirements of the new appointment
 Candidate is contacted by the Consultant on their first day at the new job to see how they are feeling and the Consultant will stay in touch to make sure everything is what the Candidate had expected. This is where the Candidate can raise any problems with the Consultant if need be, the Consultant can then address these if required
 Feedback is given to Clients if possible to advise of how the Candidate feels they are settling into their new role
